PV Pros

Commercial solar that pays for itself

Businesses use electricity when the sun is out — which is why solar usually pays back faster on a unit, farm or office than on any house. PV Pros design and install commercial rooftop systems across Yorkshire.

Who it's for

Built for buildings that work all day

Units & warehouses

Big, simple roofs and heavy daytime usage — the classic commercial solar case. Steel profile and composite roofs take modern mounting systems well.

Farms & agricultural buildings

Barn and outbuilding roofs across North and West Yorkshire are ideal for solar, and pair naturally with battery storage for dairies and cold stores.

Offices & retail

Lighting, IT and air conditioning all run while the sun is up. Discreet systems for premises where appearance matters, including all-black panels.

Landlords & portfolios

Consistent specification and one point of contact across multiple properties, with EPC and tenant-appeal benefits alongside the energy savings.

What you get

Done once, done right

Sized to your usage, not your roof

We design around your half-hourly consumption where data is available — the best commercial systems cover daytime load first, because every unit you use on site is worth far more than one exported.

Single and three-phase

NAPIT registered, City & Guilds qualified electricians comfortable on commercial supplies, distribution boards and three-phase inverters — with all electrical certification included.

Installed around your operation

Weekend and staged installations where your business needs them. Scaffolding, access and downtime are agreed in the proposal, not sprung on you mid-job.

DNO applications handled

Larger systems need permission from the network operator before connection. We prepare and submit the application and design within any export limits that come back.

Dealt with by the installers

You deal directly with Atif and Joe — the people who design, install and commission your system. Principal contractor services available; for bigger roofs we scale the team while they stay in charge.

Honest numbers

A clear proposal with realistic generation figures, not brochure optimism — and we'll beat any genuine like-for-like quote.

The process

From bill to switch-on

  1. 01

    Enquiry & bill review

Call or send us a recent electricity bill and roof details. We come back quickly with a view on whether solar stacks up for your building — and say so honestly if it does not.

  2. 02

    Survey & proposal

We survey the roof, supply and switchgear, then put a written proposal in front of you: system size, generation estimate, installed price and realistic payback.

  3. 03

    Installation

Installed and commissioned around your trading hours, with certification and DNO paperwork handled. Tidy work on the roof and in the plant room alike.

  4. 04

    Handover & monitoring

Full documentation, monitoring set up so you can see generation against usage, and a direct line to the installers afterwards — not a call centre.

Commercial solar FAQs

How much do commercial solar panels cost?

It depends on scale, roof type and your electrical supply, but commercial rooftop solar typically costs less per panel than domestic work because the fixed costs spread across a bigger system. Send us a recent bill and roof details and we will give you a guide figure before you commit to a survey.

What is the payback period for a business?

Usually shorter than for a home. Businesses that use electricity during the day — workshops, refrigeration, offices, farms — consume most of what the roof generates at the exact time it generates it. Payback depends on your tariff and usage profile, which is why our proposal is built from your actual bills rather than a generic model.

Do we need planning permission for rooftop solar?

Most rooftop commercial installations fall under permitted development, but there are exceptions — listed buildings, conservation areas and some flat-roof or ground-mount setups. We check what applies to your site before any money changes hands.

Will the installation disrupt trading?

Most of the work happens on the roof and can be staged around your hours; the connection itself needs only a short, scheduled power-down. We agree the programme — including weekend work where it helps — in the proposal.

Send us a bill, get a straight answer

A recent electricity bill and a rough idea of your roof is all we need to tell you whether solar stacks up for your business — and what it would cost.
